Michael gained his experience in theatre lighting design, stage management, props and production assistant at various venues such as Marian St Theatre, Theatre Royal, Seymour Centre, The Independant, The Regent amongst others.

That was in the days when computer based multimedia was in its very infancy, but creative lighting and integrated set design coordinated with projection (slides, video) was used to great effect in many productions.

With such a diverse background in theatre, photography and multimedia Michael is experienced in handling complex production requirements and can deliver total creative concepts to the stage or tradeshow, and more recently, multimedia installations at dance parties.

In January 2003 Michael directed an ambitious production called "The Tiny Horsepin with Amethyst Eyes", as well as providing set and lighting design. This was a short play presented as part of the Short & Sweet Play Festival in Newtown. It featured a large foldout rear projection screen, and especially designed lighting.
